Official contest rules, 2nd edition January-April 2016

Official rules for the contest (2nd edition, January-April 2016) supporting the Campaign "Discovering London as a Londoner"

No purchase necessary however internet access is required.


1) Photos can be also taken in other period, before the campaign start date although we ask they are actual to represent actual state of the spot created and that the spot was created between January 15, 2016 and April 17, 2016
2) There aren’t geographical restriction apart that who live outside London must to demonstrate visited London in the period 15 January 2016, to 17 April 2016. Some prizes are claimed only in London or from London, we are open mind to manage some agreement to help residents outside London to claim prize, where there aren’t additional costs at our charge or in charge of the sponsor offering the prize. 
3) Some prizes had restriction on age, in general minimum age is 16 years old, in this case we will arrange any permission need from winner parents.
4) Prizes winners will be directly informed by us via email (so please be sure your email, in your profile page in PhotoSpotLand, is correct). Results are published in the official contest and campaign page photospotland.com/london.
5) Prizes can be claim generally by 30 calendar days from our communication to the winners, check each sponsor/prize card for any other time limit on claiming prizes. Some prized can be claimed only in range dates provide by sponsors.
6) We try to keep judging criteria on the base of mathematical data (like most like, spot created etc), when and if a prize will be determinate from any human decision we will ask advice form independent expert.
7) In case of ex aequo of two or more potential winners we will organize a one week match race between the two or more potential winner, if ex aequo will persist we proceed with an independent draw between potential winners.
8) There are no cash alternative to any prize. 
9) Winners will be announced a week, or before, the finish of the contest or the period for periodic prizes
10) About for the Etnacoffee weekly prize it is not possible to win it for more than two times over the duration of the contest.
11) We ask to the winners of various prizes to can shoot a photos of them when claim the prize and/or when we will communicate the winners. We claim the right to use photos of the winner in our platform for publicity and in our social media, as sponsor offering the prize can do same things and having same rights. Refuse doing this will mean to give up the prizes that will be assigned to others.
12) Every prizes, special rules and way to win are described in each different page in our dedicate web page photospotland.com/london
13) Some prizes aren’t combinable and can be limit to avoid a same person can win more prizes, all information are in the dedicated sponsor/prize page on photospotland.com/london
14) Some prizes can be dedicated exclusively to special categories of users as for example recognized Travel Bloggers (who need to be recognized and registered as travel blogger in our platform) and/or London residents and/or tourists.
15) In case of extreme need, sponsor can substitute prizes with others of the same value and relevance.
16) Some prizes need a minimum of spots to be published to be assigned and claimed.
17) To avoid any conflict with single nations contest rules must to be clear that this contest is organized by a Uk company and it takes place in London with prizes assigned in London only to whom be present in London during the period of the contest.
18) Participating spot are consider only spot we decide to approve being publish on PhotoSpotLand platform, please refer to our Spots rules page on photospotland.com/rules
19) The Contest begin on 00:01 (London time) of January 15, 2016 and will end on 23:59 (London time) of April 17, 2016. So, every prize target must be reached between these dates.
20) The organizer reserve right not to award prizes if the targets assigned to every prize is not reached.

About the Campaign "Discovering London ad a Londoner"

'Discovering London As Londoner'





PhotoSpotLand, startup based at Londons TravelTech Lab, launched Discovering London as a Londoner the first worldwide photomapping campaign of a capital, based on crowdsourcing contributions from residents and tourists alike. PhotoSpotLands mobile and web-based tools will allow users to photomap London landmarks, attractions and hidden gems.

PhotoSpotLand will give proud Londoners a chance to show their own personal perspectives on London to the world and to win prizes in the process. Using PhotoSpotLands innovative crowdsourcing capabilities, London will be mapped by Londoners as never before by smartphone cameras as well as by amateur and professional photographers.

Throughout my 30 years of work in the worlds of culture and tourism, my dream was always to create a tool that allows people to show the rest of the world the best parts of their cities, said Mario Bucolo, PhotoSpotLand founder and CEO, entrepreneur and award winning photographer.
Now, thanks to PhotoSpotLands innovative web and mobile platform, we are ready to make travel industry history. The recent successful introduction of the PhotoSpotLand app was helped greatly by our companys presence at Londons TravelTech Lab, continued founder Mario Bucolo. And now we are proud to make London the first city in what will become a worldwide, crowdsourced photomapping effort using PhotoSpotLands suite of creative tools..

The Discovering London as a Londoners campaign will end on April 17, 2016, and is open both to Londoners and tourists.

To support the Campaign, and as incentive to photomap London, PhotoSpotLand has also announced a second edition of a contest that will award prizes to participants. The main contest sponsors are Canon and Catania International Airport.
Alberto Spinelli, Digital Services Director - Canon Europe Ltd., comment in this way the support to the Campaign: "Canon's role in photography is an ever-evolving one. At our core we want to share our passion and inspire everyone to explore the world of imaging and help people capture their memories in outstanding quality. PhotoSpotLand is a great application that helps users to unleash the photographer inside them - we are excited to be supporting this competition to help them on their journey to building an engaged community.
The CEO of Catania International Airport, Gaetano Mancini said that the Airport System of Eastern Sicily is keenly interested in the innovations citizens of Catania are now creating at the TravelTech Lab in London. The United Kingdom is an extremely important market for both the Catania and Comiso airports in Eastern Sicily. That is why we are proud to support the campaign organized by PhotoSpotLand and offer a travel package (including flight and hotel) to Catania.

PhotoSpotLand will also include prizes or promotions from other sponsors, including Uber, The London Helicopter, Trigger Trap, Sheraton Catania, Cycle.bike, Etna Coffee, Vini Italiani, and Calietra. And more sponsors will soon join the campaign, with PhotoSpotLand working to partner with Londons main attractions as they are prime subjects of the photomapping campaign. Prizes will be awarded every seven  days, and some prizes will be reserved to Travel Bloggers, who have a fundamental role in promoting London.
